Driver Safety - Think First - Alcohol Education Program $250.00

West Coast

Think First, or SHIP (Short High Impact Program), is for drivers who have had their license suspended for impaired driving.

If completed before the individual’s court date, their license may be reinstated pending further suspension, fines, or restrictions as determined by the court.

This program can be completed either in person or as an independent course online. If you wish to complete the course online, please contact the SafetyNL office at 1-877-754-0210. We will need your email address to send you instructions.

If your license was suspended for loss of points, please see our Responsible Driver Workshop.

If the individual is required to complete the ADT program, please contact the Mental Health & Addictions Services office nearest to your community. If you are in the Metro Region, contact CAST (Concurrent Addictions Specialized Treatment). For information on Alcolock, or the Ignition Interlock System, contact Motor Registration Division.

SafetyNL does not have access to your driving record. If you are uncertain that this is the right course for you, or whether your license has been suspended or not, please contact the Motor Registration Division office nearest to you. SafetyNL does not offer refunds for courses that have been completed.

We require 48 hours notice of any cancelations or transfers. An administrative fee of $25 will be applied if notice is given in less than 48 hours. Some exemptions may apply.
